AIRBAR USES

Where can AIRBAR be used?

AIRBAR Compatibility

Nearly all vehicles are compatible with AIRBAR. Any vehicle that travels on a road and can cause a potential hazard to cyclists, or vehicles that involves drivers or passengers to stand beside the vehicle on a busy road while stationary. Some examples of vehicles we have fitted the AIRBAR onto are listed below.

  • Builders Merchant Vehicles

    Builders Merchant Vehicles

Because delivering or removing building materials takes time, the vehicle must frequently be left parked by the side of the road for a long period of time. Often, the driver uses traffic cones to signal that there is an issue with driving safety. AIRBARS offer a simpler and safer warning.
Roadside-safe deploys AIRBARS on the exposed side of the vehicle to effectively warn approaching drivers.

These vehicles benefit from the system's Compound Safe feature since they also use yards or compounds. Driving in a compound or yard can be extremely dangerous because vehicle traffic can come from either side or in any direction. Drivers are better protected when working alongside by using the nearside and offside AIRBARS, which expand and make a safer working zone possible.

  • Car Transporters

    Car Transporters

Car transporters almost always have roadside or difficult loading and unloading areas. When in a compound, either oncoming traffic or other moving vehicles provide a risk to drivers. Because it provides a safer working area surrounding the vehicle transporter when it's parked on the side of the road or in a compound, this is a frequently used application for AIRBAR.

  • Coaches & Buses

    Coaches & Buses

Coaches can have cargo space for suitcases that are accessed from the roadside. AIRBARS are deployed by Roadside-safe to provide a broader and safer working area for drivers, while acting as an extremely effective visible warning system for other road users.

  • Heavy Good Vehicles (HGV)

    Heavy Good Vehicles (HGV)

Every day, thousands of HGVs travel through cities and other urban areas to pick up and deliver goods. Offside deployed Roadside-safe AirBars to protect drivers working alongside the traffic from incoming vehicles when the vehicle is stationary. Compound-safe protects drivers from oncoming cars by activating both the nearside and offside AirBars when in yards or compounds. Every HGV that turns left at a crossroads puts vulnerable road users, especially bicycles, in danger of incurring a major injury or worse in the nearside blind spot. AirBar's safety feature called "Safe-turn" automatically depolys AirBars when the left turn stalk is activated at less than 15 mph, thereby providing cyclists with an extremely effective visual alert.

  • Heavy Rescue & Recovery

    Heavy Rescue & Recovery

The driver or operator of a heavy lift is exposed to the risk of oncoming traffic for a longer period of time during rescue and recovery operations since they usually take longer to complete. Because Airbar makes the area surrounding the vehicle safer to work in, this is an ideal use for it.

  • Light Goods Vehicles (LGV)

    Light Goods Vehicles (LGV)

Every day, thousands of LGVs drive through cities and other urban areas to pick up and deliver items. When turning left at junctions, everyone puts vulnerable road users, especially cyclists, in danger of suffering a major injury or worse. AIRBARS safety feature called "Safe-turn" automatically depolys AIRBARS when the left turn signal is activated at less than 15 mph, thereby providing cyclists with a very powerful visual alert.

  • Light Rescue & Recovery

    Light Rescue & Recovery

Because the AIRBAR makes it safer for drivers to work alongside vehicles, hundreds of roadside rescue and recovery operations usually follow traffic accidents every day. This has made them a very popular use for AIRBAR.

  • Service & Repair

    Service & Repair

AIRBAR makes the area around the service or repair vehicle safer for the driver or operator to work in, whether it is for a mechanical breakdown or a puncture repair.

  • Support Vehicles

By expanding the safety area surrounding the vehicle, AirBars help support vehicles.
