COMPOUND SAFETY

Compound-Safe for Drivers & Operators

Because vehicles can pass on either side and in any direction, drivers working alongside are particularly vulnerable in compounds and yards.

The Issue

A Driver Safety Zone is Needed

An AirBar will create a visible warning to others within the compound to keep a safe distance from the vehicle

The Solution

Compound-safe with AirBar

The term "compound-safe" refers to the use of both nearside and offside AIRBARS to help protect the driver and/or operator from being struck by approaching drivers or site vehicles like dump trucks and forklifts by establishing a more visible, safer zone around both sides of the vehicle.

Drivers should use extra caution in compounds, sometimes known as yards, where vehicles may pass on either side and in either direction. When vehicles passing notice that the AIRBARS are inflated, they give way, putting the driver and passenger in a safer area.
