A permit is necessary for all goods vehicles weighing more than 12 tonnes to drive in Greater London, according to the Direct Vision Standard (DVS) law. The amount that a driver can see from the vehicle in proportion to other road users determines whether or not a permit is provided. Before requesting a permit, HGVs that don't meet the minimum requirements have to be equipped with a number of safety devices to help and enhance the driver's indirect vision.
The DVS compliance kits listed below are what we've put together to assist you with your permit application.
